Meet Cowboy, renowned for its sleek electric bikes synonymous with urban commuting across European city centers, is diversifying its product lineup with the introduction of the Cowboy Cross. This new addition to the Cowboy family caters to a broader audience seeking comfort and versatility, extending beyond the confines of city streets to embrace long-distance rides and off-road adventures.

The Cowboy Cross maintains the distinctive design elements that characterize the brand, featuring the signature pill-shaped front light, angular frame design, and understated matte color palette. However, it sets itself apart with a focus on all-terrain capabilities and enhanced comfort features.

A key highlight of the Cowboy Cross is its custom-designed tires, offering increased traction and stability on various surfaces. The bike sports slightly smaller 26.5-inch wheels paired with larger tires, providing optimal performance across diverse terrain types.

Innovative suspension systems further enhance the riding experience, with front fork suspension and seat post suspension ensuring smooth navigation over rough terrain. The suspensions are adjustable, allowing riders to customize their ride for maximum comfort and control.

Addressing concerns regarding rider height, the company has made adjustments to accommodate a wider range of users. The saddle can be lowered for smaller riders, while the handlebar has been redesigned for improved ergonomics and handling.

The aluminum frame of the Cowboy Cross is available in both step-over and step-through variants, catering to different rider preferences. It comes in three distinct colors—light gray, dark gray, and green—and features a rear rack capable of supporting accessories such as child seats or cargo bags.

Powered by a larger battery with a 50% increase in capacity, the Cowboy Cross offers an extended range of 60 to 120 km (37 to 75 miles) on a single charge. This enhanced battery performance ensures riders can embark on longer journeys with confidence.

While the Cowboy Cross boasts impressive specifications, the company also prioritizes ease of maintenance to ensure longevity and reliability. Cowboy introduces a new “Check My Bike” diagnostic tool alongside the hardware release, empowering riders to monitor and maintain their bikes with ease.

Preorders for the Cowboy Cross are now open, with an early-bird price starting at €3,499 ($3,800). The company plans to retail the bike for €3,999 ($4,350) once it officially launches. With the introduction of the Cowboy Cross, the startup aims to expand its market reach and cater to a diverse range of riders seeking comfort, performance, and style in their electric bikes.
